At the University of Catania he progressively held various roles: Specializing, Internal Physician with Assis-tant Tasks, Scholarship holder, Research Fellow, Graduate Technician, Graduate Technical Officer, Confirmed Researcher, Aggregate Professor, Associate Professor of Diseases of the Digestive System (MED12), Full Professor of Diseases of the Digestive System (MED12). Beyond the teaching of Emergency Medicine of the C.L.M. in Medicine and Surgery, he holds teachings in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine in Degree Courses in Nursing, Obstetrics and Specialization Schools in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hygiene and Preventive Medicine, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Genetics, Dermatology, Anesthesia and Resuscitation, Geriatrics. Coordinator Responsible for the Research Doctorate "New evaluation and study systems for the hemodynamic and metabolic com-plications of chronic liver diseases". Professor of Research Doctorates of the University of Catania. Head of the Hepatology Unit, Regional Referral Center for Hepatitis C Treatment and Regional Reference Center for Rare Diseases of the Digestive System - A.O.U. Policlinico - Catania.
